Welcome to Wiser Years. These terms explain in plain language how our services work, what you can and cannot do, and the limits of our responsibility. By using Wiser Years, you agree to these terms.

1. What Wiser Years is

Wiser Years is an educational platform about perimenopause and menopause. Our content is based on trusted clinical guidelines (ACOG, the Menopause Society, Mayo Clinic, NIH, NHS).

Wiser Years currently includes:

• A library of educational articles
• A self-assessment quiz for life stage
• An educational chatbot trained on our verified articles
• A weekly email course
• Informational pages (About, Sources, FAQ)

2. What Wiser Years is NOT (important)

This section is important for your health and for our relationship — please read it carefully:

• We are not a medical clinic. We do not perform consultations or examinations.
• We do not diagnose. Quiz results and any self-assessment scores are educational tools, not medical diagnoses.
• We do not prescribe treatments. We do not recommend specific medications, supplements, or interventions.
• We do not replace medical care. For any clinical decision, please consult your healthcare provider.
• We are not an emergency service. For any medical emergency, call 911 (U.S.) or your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency department.

3. Who can use Wiser Years

Wiser Years is intended for adult women (18+) seeking education about perimenopause and menopause. By using the site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

4. Free vs. paid features

Many Wiser Years features are free (browsing the public articles, the quiz, limited chatbot use, the newsletter).

The full membership is a one-time payment for 12 months of access, and includes the full library, the email course, and increased chatbot usage. Details are on the membership page.

5. User accounts

We use passwordless email sign-in (magic links). You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.

6. Payment and cancellation

For the paid membership:

• One-time payment for 12 months of access. No auto-renewal.
• 14-day money-back guarantee — full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked.
• Processed by Stripe — a leading global payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
• Receipt emailed for every purchase.

7. Limitation of liability

Wiser Years content is provided “as is” for educational purposes. While we make every effort to be accurate (periodic review, trusted sources), we do not guarantee that information is complete, current, or applicable to your individual situation.

To the extent permitted by law, Wiser Years and its operators are not responsible for:

• Medical decisions made solely on the basis of our content, without consulting a clinician.
• Consequences of failing to apply or misinterpreting information.
• Errors or omissions in content.
• Temporary unavailability of the site for technical reasons.

8. Intellectual property

Original Wiser Years content (articles, design, code) is our property, protected by copyright law. You may:

• Read the content for personal use

• Cite articles with attribution and a link back

You may not:

• Republish full content on other websites
• Use the content for commercial purposes without written permission
• Modify the content and republish it without credit

By using Wiser Years, you agree:

• Not to attempt to hack or exploit the site
• Not to use the site to share false information about others
• Not to copy content for commercial use without permission

We reserve the right to suspend access for users who violate these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of Wiser Years after changes constitutes acceptance of them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if that isn't possible, by the competent courts in the jurisdiction where Wiser Years is registered.
